Hi there everyone! I’m reblogging the first scene to this blog, but I’d like to note that all official installments of Rusalkastuck will be solely found at rusalkastuck.tumblr.com. So follow that blog, if you want to hear the updates! Rusalkavoice will still be used for any recasting I may need to do in future, and also  for other background work such as finding crew or discussing things separate from the plot.

Hello everyone! I’m sorry for the wait, life hit me like a train over the past couple of days and I’ve been quite busy. But, here we are! This is the casting for the six minor characters.

Thank you to everyone who auditioned! The first installment of Rusalkastuck will be out within the next fortnight, so keep an ear out.

Casting will be up in the next 24 hours!

Minor character auditions are due by 8pm tomorrow my time, so 29th April, 4am EDT. If anyone’s got any last-minute auditions to send my way, now’s the time!

Meenah should sound quite harsh, accent is up for debate. Doc Scratch would preferably have a British accent of some description, and quite a refined voice. John is John is John— the usual nerdy American-accented tone people use for him is what’s preferred. Rose should have a low voice and an American accent as well. Karkat would preferably be the usual hoarse shrieky American tone people use for him, and lastly, Roxy I quite like with a Brooklyn accent or the like to accompany her drunken slur. Hopefully that helps!

Rusalkastuck is now looking for its minor characters! We need Meenah, Doc Scratch, John, Karkat, Rose, and Roxy! Audition guidelines, monologues and character profiles can be found at rusalkavoice.tumblr.com.

Dualscar was nevver lovved by anyone, so we still reeeally need people to audition for him. Get the word out however you can— there is no deadline for him, I’ll just cast him as soon as I get a good audition for his part, because he’s required ASAP.

Please, somebody, pay the old captain some attention!!

Thank you to everyone who auditioned! The main cast has been selected, from numbers varying between sixteen Aradia auditions down to a sole Psionic audition, but regardless of the competition for each part, I am very satisfied with the quality of each successful applicant. It was an extremely tough choice for some of the more popular characters (and, you know, everyone else too but hey), and I’m sorry to all those who didn’t get cast— however, don’t get discouraged from auditioning for the minor characters (who I will post in a day or so), if you weren’t selected for a major one! The cast list will actually be up either (my) today or tomorrow. I’ve spent today relistening to all the auditions I have since I’ve only had one new one since the 7th, and out of those I have so far I’ve got a fair idea of who I’d like to cast. Of course, I’ll relisten to all the auditions for any characters I get new ones for in the next four hours! But I’ve been keeping on top of things and I know who, of the auditions I’ve got, my favourites for each character are.

By the way, to people who aren’t cast— there are actually six more characters I’m going to be posting audition notes for once I’ve announced the main cast. These characters won’t be needed until later on into the story, but they will be needed eventually, and some of them are pretty cool. =) So yeah! Don’t despair!
